no distinction
contemporary Dutch minimalism in art, design & craft
9 June to 14 October 2023 final weekend open to the public on 7 & 8 October 2023
Rocket presents an exhibition of contemporary Dutch artists & designers. This Salon-style exhibition of small works is presented in the Project Studio at Rocket Gallery.
In The Netherlands art, design & craft are effortlessly interwoven and practitioners move freely between the disciplines. For much contemporary work the underlying inspiration is the De Stijl movement – internationally revered for over 100 years. This project curated by Jonathan Stephenson pursues his consistently minimalist vision and juxtaposes paintings, sculptures, ceramics, textiles, typography, books, photography, furniture and graphics. There is no hierarchy in the classification of the works exhibited.
